Abstract

A rounded spatial corner is for the sheet-metal housing of a household appliance. In the corner section, the invention features fishplates which overlap round a joint edge and, after an additional bending process, round an axis (8) which lies at a right angle to the edge and in parallel to the sheet surface. After being adjusted to a high position, the fishplates are joined at their base by means of a narrow sheet section (11). The height of the section (11) above the inner sheet surface (7) amounts to: the sum of the sheet thickness and the bending radius round the edge.
