Abstract
Abstract of the InventionCaller ID Plus (+) provides a new approach to the existing way a Caller ID system operates for cell phones and land lines. It offers the caller, be it a person or an organisation, the option to announce himself or itself to the receiver in whatever form or description he or it wishes to be known to the receiver in an alphabetical or another language format.
Description

Caller ID Plus (+)
BL.
IRE
At present, most cell phones have Caller ID (Caller Identification) capability whereby the Caller’s mobile telephone number (and perhaps his name) is shown on the
Receiver’s mobile telephone. In this way we are able to read the mobile telephone number of the caller and we know who is calling us.
However this is only useful if the person calling us is known to us and his name appears on our telephone list of contacts. When a person not known to us calls or if the caller’s name is not on our list of contacts, only the caller’s mobile telephone number appears on the receiver’s mobile telephone and with most of these calls we do not know who the caller is.
In a way this is a one-sided affair as the receiver is the only person who knows who the caller is and whether the caller is known to him and whether the person’s name appears on his contact list. If the caller is not known to the receiver, only the caller’s telephone number appears and in most cases, except for the number that appears on his screen, the receiver does not know who the caller is.
Caller ID Plus (+) overcomes this problem as with Caller ID Plus (+) the caller now has the option to announce himself to the receiver in a language format. oo
Caller ID Plus (+) allows the caller the option to announce himself to the receiver.
Instead of just revealing his mobile telephone number to the receiver the caller now has the option to “change” his mobile telephone number to his name, or to any description of himself that he wishes to be known to the receiver in a language format.
Thus the receiver now knows who is calling him even with an initial first call since instead of just a telephone number appearing on his screen he now has an announced description of the caller and he has the option to receive the call or to reject the call.
Caller ID Plus (+) operates the same way as the existing Caller ID operates except that with Caller ID Plus (+) the caller now has the option to announce who he is when he calls and his announcement would be in a language format known to both parties..
Caller ID Plus (+) is especially useful when a caller is making a call to a new receiver ‘or when he is calling a new number for the first time. It could also be that the caller has changed his number and is using this new number to call an acquaintance for the first time.
There are various scenarios that Caller ID Plus (+) can be useful, like when a grandfather calls a grandson or a grand-daughter for the first time or a school teacher calling a student’s parents for the first time and so forth and the announcement would be in a language familiar with both the caller and the receiver.
Caller ID Plus (+) is not only useful for personal telephone calls. It is also useful for
Corporations which wish to announce themselves whenever a call is made.
As an example, let’s say ABC Bank: The bank may wish to announce itself (as ABC
Bank) instead of showing its range of switchboard telephone numbers whenever its officers call a client. With Caller ID Plus (+) this option is available, initially for cell phones and at a later stage for land lines as well.
No drawings are submitted and Caller ID Plus (+) would be offered as an App (Application) for mobile telephones and land lines in all languages.
