Abstract

The present invention relates to a waste storage and collection system. More particularly, it relates to a recycling waste storage and collection system and its method of operation. The system comprising (a) a storage chamber for receiving waste, the storage chamber comprises a plate at the base of the chamber; and (b) a disposal chamber below the storage chamber for disposing the waste, wherein the plate selectively opens and closes to allow and prevent the discharge of waste from the storage chamber into the disposal chamber. The method comprising (a) inserting waste into a chute; (b) receiving the waste from the chute into a first storage chamber by gravitational force; (c) discharging the waste from the first storage chamber into a second storage chamber by gravitational force through a first plate between the first and second storage chambers while the first plate is opened; and (d) discharging the waste from the second storage chamber into a disposal chamber by gravitational force through a second plate between the second storage chamber and the disposal chamber while the second plate is open and the first place is closed.
