Abstract
VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) Preservation Methodology of 105 MM, 120 MM,155 MM, 240 MM AND 8 INCH SELF-PROPELLED AND TOWED HOWITZER GUNS Over Cycles of Two Years. The invention relates to a VCI preservation methodology of Howitzer Guns using a range of VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) products over cycles of two years. It involves five methodological stages starting with Zero Point wherein change of lubrication oil, oil filters, engine transmission oil, hydraulic fluids, fuel and fuel filter are carried out. The second stage involves the cleaning of interior and exterior of vehicles and treatment of inherent rust. Third stage involves the application of VCI products to essential systems of vehicle. Fourth stage involves the sealing of all openings of the Howitzer/Artillery Guns. Fifth stage involves six monthly inspection and pull-back of gun barrel till the full 2 years preservation cycle is complete.
