Abstract

SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR PROCESSING OF TANDEM MASS SPECTRA USING DC-SHIFTED SELF-CONVOLUTION The present invention provides a process for evaluating the quality of a MS/MS spectrum of a polypeptide by performing self-convolution upon the MS/MS spectrum. The present invention also provides a system for evaluating the quality of a MS/MS spectrum of a polypeptide. The system comprises a means for obtaining the MS/MS spectrum from a source, and a computer executable storage medium in which computer programs are embedded, wherein the computer programs enable the system to perform self-convolution upon the MS/MS spectrum; thereby the quality of the MS/MS spectrum of a polypeptide can be evaluated.
