Abstract
ABST RACT The present invention discloses a netw ork connection method and apparatus, pertaining to the technical field of terminals. The method comprises: determining, in a 5 scenario in which a network connection is established via a cellular network, whether a wireless signal of a non-cellular network allowing connection is detected; if the wireless signal is detected, determining wh ether the service status of a data service being currently processed meets a first preset condition, the firs t preset condition being that the service quality of the data service is not aff ected during a network 10 connection mode switching process; and wh en the service status meets the first present condition, establishi ng a network connection on th e basis of the wireless signal. The present invention can determin e whether the service status of a data service being currently processed meets a first preset condition, and establish a network connection on the basis of a wireless signal when the first preset condition is 15 met, thereby avoiding interruption of th e data service caused by switching of a network connection mode, ensuring smooth provi sion of the current data service, and thereby improving network experience of a user.
