The lubricating oil composition further includes a non-sulfur containing aromatic amine. The marine diesel cylinder lubricating oil cam- = position has a total base number (TBN)of about 5 to about 100mg KOH/g. Furthermore,the contribution of the non-sulfur containing N aromatic amine to the TBN of the marine diesel cylinder lubricant oil composition is greater than about 30%.
