Abstract

- [Problem] To supply a device and method, for discharging a fixed quantity of a liquid containing solid particles, discharging same with good precision and in a state in which the solid particles are dispersed. [Solution] A discharge device for a liquid material containing solid particles and a discharge method using said device. The discharge device comprises: a first storage container; a first air pressure supply pipe; a measuring unit having a measuring hole; a plunger that moves into and retracts from the measuring hole; a nozzle; a switching valve having a first position and a second position; a plunger drive device; and a switching valve drive device. The discharge device further comprises: a second storage container; a second air pressure supply pipe; a branch section provided in an upper section of the measuring hole and having a branch flow path; and an opening/closing mechanism that connects or blocks between the second storage container and the measuring hole. The discharge device is characterized by: being capable of sending the liquid material inside the first storage container to the second storage container; and by being capable of sending the liquid material inside the second storage container to the first storage container.
