Abstract
PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGE A passenger boarding bridge includes: a rotunda connected to a terminal building; a tunnel unit connected to the rotunda, such that the tunnel unit is liftable and lowerable; a lifting/lowering device configured to support the tunnel unit such that the tunnel unit is lifted or lowered; a cab provided at a front end of the tunnel unit; a distance measuring device configured to measure a reference distance from a ground to the cab or the tunnel unit; a level measuring device configured to measure, after the cab is connected to an entrance of an aircraft, an amount of deviation in a relative distance between a floor surface of the entrance of the aircraft and a floor surface of the cab; and a control device configured to control the lifting/lowering device based on a measurement value of the distance measuring device and a measurement value of the level measuring device, such that the cab connected to the entrance of the aircraft follows upward/downward movement of the aircraft.
