A screw compressor () includes: a screw compressor main body (20) ; a motor (10) for driving the screw compressor main body 5 (20) ; a gearbox (30) interposed between the screw compressor main body (20) and the motor (10) to transmit a driving force of the motor (10) to the screw compressor main body (20) ; and a gas cooler (40) positioned below either the screw compressor main body (20) or the motor (10) and attached as a separate body to a side surface 10 of the gearbox (30) . 20
