Abstract

The impact device comprises a housing (1), with a hammer piston (2) movable to-and-fro from the housing for exerting a drill tool (3) to impact in an impact position. The hammer piston has a first surface (4) which alternatively is connected to liquid pressure source (5) and to a reduced pressure flushing channel (6). The pressurisation of the first surface drives the hammer piston towards the drill. The hammer piston comprises a channel (8) which upon the movement of the hammer piston in a direction towards the drill tool pass the impact position conducts pressure liquid to a valve body. It switches over and locks the valve body (9) for continuous pressurisation of the first surface for locking the hammer piston in a forward position. The channel also conducts pressurised liquid to the flushing channel for continuous flushing of the drill hole.
