Abstract

The valve has a valve element (20) with a locating section (20a) which sits upon the valve seat (13a) and effects opening and closing of the nozzle orifice. The valve element has a guide section (22) with one end face close to the nozzle orifice, a second end face, and a slide section for sliding on the valve body. A through-hole (22a) connects an area close to the center of the first end face and the outer circumferential area of the second end face. This through-hole produces a fuel swirling effect.
