Abstract

The suction head has a housing (1) into which a suction channel (2) opens, a slide plate (3) on the housing with a suction opening (4) connected to the suction channel and a vertically adjustable carrier (5) in the housing to which a brush strip (6) is connected. The brush strip is mounted in a slot (8) between the slide plate and housing and can be moved out through the slot by a moving the carrier. An inclined protruding rubber lip formed on the end of the brush strip on the carrier side engages a wall surface of the housing bounding the slot, or an upper edge of the slide plate on the housing inner side, under elastic deformation when the carrier is moved, thereby sealing the slot on at least one side of the brush strip.
