Abstract

A stand for adjustable holding of an elongate trunk or the like, especially a Christmas tree stand, comprising a water bowl (10), a detachable holder (20) which is adapted to clasp the trunk (2) and which is receivable in the water bowl (10), and a base plate (30) which is designed to be placed on a substrate (3). The water bowl (10) and the base plated (30) are connected to each other by the intermediary of a joint device (40). The adjustment of the water bowl (10), and, consequently, of the trunk, relative to the base plate (30) is achieved by means of the joint device (40).
