Abstract

The stand is adjustable to accommodate trunks of different diameters. The base consists of a spike (2) which may be placed inside a circular tray, and attached to which are three stays (1, 11, 111), all the same length and spaced 120 deg. apart. The other end of each stay is hinged (5, 51, 511) to a leg (6, 61, 611), approximately one third up from its base, to form a tripod. Each leg has an incurved point (8, 81, 811) at the top, which grips the bole of the tree, and is rounded (7, 71, 711) at the base to give a stable support on an uneven surface.
