Abstract
A tension component partly adjust the belt tightener (2) and partly fixes it in an adjusted position. The tension components can rotate relatively to one another. The tension components are concentrically arranged in each other. The tool body is rotatably coupled to the tension components and is releasably connected to the internal combustion engine (24). A lock component in a first position locks the first tension component relatively to the tool body and at the same time permits the second tension component to rotate relatively to the tool body. The lock component incorporates a first cogged rim which engages a first gearwheel in the first tension component in the lock component first position. It also incorporates a fork (94) with a recess, which works in conjunction with an indicator (92) on the belt tensioner when a specific tension in the cogged belt (4) is achieved.
