Abstract

A telecommunication control centre (2') and an auxiliary unit (1'), e.g. an echo canceller, are adapted to communicate via a transmission interface (3') in accordance with ITU-T Recommendation G.704. In a method and arrangement for transferring messages from the control centre (2') to the auxiliary unit (1') and vice versa, the control centre (2') and the auxiliary unit (1') are both adapted to transfer each message bit by bit via the transmission interface (3'). At least one bit is transferred in every other frame until the message has been transferred in whole.
