Abstract
Frost protection device for the use in a heat exchanger of the cross flow type, where the exhaust air and the outside air passes through flat sheet channels in a heat exchanger cassette and where the device also comprises a supply air fan (5), an exhaust air fan (6) and a frost protection thermostat (3), where a water/condensate sensor (2) being arranged in an exhaust air channel in the heat exchanger cassette, an electrical control device (4) ensuring that the supply air fan (5) is stopped if the temperature of the discharged air sinks below a predetermined level when the water sensor (2) simultaneously registrates presence of water or condensate, and that the frost protection thermostat (3) being arranged in the exhaust air channel, together with the water sensor (2). The frost protection thermostat (3) may also be arranged downstream of the exhaust air channel, at the beginning of the discharged air channel.
