Abstract

The invention relates to a device for a flushtank of a water-closet for providing a flushing with reduced liquid quantity comprising a generally pipe-like portion (8) delimiting a separate and comparatively small liquid compartment in the water-closet tank, said portion (8) below provided with special openings (15) so that the inside of the pipe-like portion can communicate with the water-closet tank, a closing body (5) influenced by gravity with a matching seat (4), the body for a quick drain of the water-closet tank being liftable from the seat (4) by means of a control means to be acted upon from the outside of the water-closet tank and the pipe-like portion (8) being adapted to cooperate with the water-closet tank control means in such a way that by choice either only the liquid volume in the pipe-like portion (8) can be drained or both the liquid volume in the pipe-like portion and in the water-closet tank. For an essential simplification in mounting such devices into existing water-closets the pipe-like portion (8) is with a gap in the lifting direction connected with the water-closet tank control means and said portion has a density larger than the liquid density so that under the influence of gravity it contacts the periphery around the drain opening (3) in the bottom (1) of the water-closet tank.
