Abstract

The bundling occurs in stages, in a straight line and the material is gripped from the input table (2) by input rollers (3,4). One of the rollers can be lowered and raised and is stagelessly adjustable against the fixed roller, so that it automatically follows the material thickness variation. Alternatively, both input rollers are movable via pendulous arms, which attempt to hold a common material bed in the bundling equipment centre. The material is then pressed into a compressor part, where compression occurs by openable and closable articulated arms resting against one another. The material is compressed in a pre-compression stage in the compressor (5) and then in a second compressor (6) in a final compression stage. By cylinders placed between the bundling equipment chassis and the second compressor a determinable counter pressure is produced, so that a determined degree of fill in the first compressor is obtained.
