Abstract

A switch arrangement (37) comprises a plunger device (21), a solenoid (40) and a body (39). The plunger device comprises a plunger insulator (22), a fixed plunger element (25), a movable plunger element (23), and an elastic means (26), which is adapted to bias the movable plunger element (23) in the direction away from the fixed plunger element (25), the movable plunger element (23) moving in the direction of the fixed plunger element (25) when the plunger device (21) is activated. The plunger insulator (22), the fixed plunger element (25), the movable plunger element (23) and the elastic means (26) together form a self-contained unit, which is easy to mount in a body in a solenoid device since the body and the plunger insulator have matching engagement means (45, 47), which allow introduction of the plunger device into the body and releasable mounting of the plunger device by turning the same. A method for mounting the plunger device (22) in the switch arrangement is also disclosed.
