Abstract
The device is located between two varying flows of liquid, one of which runs by gravity through a straight and partially filled pipe (A). The other flow travels in the opposite direction through a series of channels (1-7) coupled in parallel and in heat transfer contact with the bottom half of the pipe. The width distribution of the channels is the same as the width of the flowing liquid (B) across the pipe.
