Abstract

A non-toxic detonation composition free of Pb and Ba contains 20-40 wt.% of an impact sensitive non-metallic explosive such as diazodinitrophenol (DDNP) or potassium dinitrobenzofuroxane, 5-20 wt.% of a 2nd explosive made of tetrazene, 0-20 wt.% of a fuel such as a nitrate ester or metal fuel, 10-40 wt.% of tin oxide as a main oxidising agent and 0-10 wt.% of a sensitising agent.
