Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily replace parts for repair by allowing a sealing guide member to abut on the periphery of an opening of diffuser when a sealing device is lowered, leading a sealing unit to the center of a stub until a sealing means is brought into contact with the upper end of the stub, and sealing an inside opening of pump penetration structure. SOLUTION: When a sealing device 40 is lowered within a diffuser opening 38, a leg part 64 is first brought into contact with the periphery of the opening 38, and when it is further lowered, the periphery thereof abuts on the outer side of a sealing guide member 58, thereby centering the member 58 and a coupled sealing unit 42. Finally, the member 58 is fitted in the inside of the opening 38, and both are securely centered when the unit 42 is placed on the stub 22. Thus, when a driving motor, drive shaft, etc., are removed for maintenance while a cooling water is sealed by an inside opening 20, the cooling water can be prevented from flowing out from the opening 20.
