Abstract

A sterilisation method that uses an electron accelerator (1) to sterilise packaging (3) that is ready to be filled, comprises rotating the packaging at the same time as the packaging is struck by an electron beam from a window (2) in the accelerator, so that the beam passes through the packaging wall next to the window and strikes the inside of the opposite packaging wall.
