Abstract

The aperture includes a flexible foil (6) which is tensioned over the aerial aperture so that is assumes at least one inclined face w.r.t. the aperture plane. Pref. the foil is tensioned over a rigid, dielectric aperture cover (4) of the aerial (1, 2). Typically the foil is clamped by one or more struts (10) set on the rigid aperture cover. The aerial comprises a parabola-shaped, metal reflector (1), in whose focal point is located a feed system (2). A circumferential profiled ring (5) holds the cover hood flange and the reflector sealingly together.
