Abstract

In the dividing plane between the upper and lower covers a through passage is arranged for each conductor (20). Each through passage comprises a recess in each cover part, two facing recesses forming a through passage. Each recess is formed with at least one raised formation extending across a conductor. The raised formations in two opposing recesses are pushed into the conductor casing (22) and seal the through passage, limiting the conductor axial mobility. Each raised formation has a sharp edge directed into the through passage interior. The edges are pressed into the electrical conductor insulating casing when the joint box (10) cover parts are fitted together over the joined electrical conductors. Each raised formation has a triangular cross-section where the radially inwardly directed edges in the through passage are arranged on one of the triangle points at an angle, preferable in the interval of 45-90 deg .
