Abstract
The invention discloses a steering device for a pair of wheels, in which both wheels are turnable more than 180 DEG and where the turning points of the wheels (10) substantially coincide. The invention comprises a two part tie rod (16) with a turnable joint (18), the outer ends of said tie rod (16) each are turnably connected to two arms (20, 28). The first arm (20) is attached to the axis of the wheel (10) by a rigid wheel plate (26), and the second arm (28) is attached to the wheel beam (12). By conveying the joint (18) of the tie rod by assistance of a joint track means (32, 34, 36, 38) along a predetermined track, the wheels (10) are turned according to the principle of coinciding turning points. The attachment to the first and second arms (20, 28) also enables a wheel turning of more than 180 DEG .
