Abstract
The second part of the exchanger contains axially directed inlet and outlet channels for directing heat-emitting and heat-absorbing medium in counterflow through the regenerator mass. The channels are sepd. from one another by sector-shaped plates (3) located tightly adjacent to the cylindrical part end surfaces. The plates are articulately joined to fixed central plates at the cylindrical part nave and at outer ends have compressed air-fed air cushion parts (7), which hold the sector plate outer ends fixed on an edge flange (6). The air cushion heads each have the form of a cylindrical block (15) with one end surface (16) directed towards the edge flange and provided with a recess (23) communicating through an axial channel (24) with the other end surface (17). The cylindrical block is arranged with fine adjustment in a fixed casing (12) arranged around an opening in the sector plates, and a conduit (30) from the compressed air source is connected to a nipple (26) in the block channel communicating with the recess in the block channel.
