Abstract

In the case of shallow screed, the openings for receiving the heating pipes would have to come closer than hitherto customary to the web of the holding rail. The finishing of an initially extruded holding rail is all the more difficult the closer the openings for receiving the heating pipes come to the web of the holding rail, because when the openings are punched out the abutment belonging to the punching tool might break off. The new holding rail is to be designed in such a way that there is no risk whatsoever of damage to the abutment when the openings are punched out. The openings (27; 37) reach as far as the web (11) of the holding rail (10) and are substantially rectangular in cross-section. The openings exhibit a narrowing in their region remote from the web (11) by way of protruding holding lugs (29; 39). Compared with what is known, the holding rail (10) has the advantages that the punching-out of the openings (27; 37) for receiving the heating pipes (15) is readily possible without an abutment belonging to the punching tool possibly breaking off, since there is no abutment necessary at all in the region of the openings (27; 37) for the punching-out. There is, however, also no risk of the plastic material on the holding rail (10) breaking off. <IMAGE>
