Abstract

The article, which may be an incontinence guard, has an absorbent core 12 enclosed by a liquid-permeable topsheet 14 and a liquid-impermeable backsheet 16, the topsheet and backsheet extending beyond the core and being joined together to form a peripheral margin 18. Elastic means 22 extend along the entire length of the article and define an outwardly convex curved path on either side of the longitudinal axis 20 so that the article adopts a bowl shape in use. <IMAGE>
