Abstract
The prod. is a synthetic silicate gel with a water content between 90 and 98 wt.% and is used for temporary cooling of surfaces exposed to external air, partic. body parts. The prod. can also be used at the same time as a carrier for e.g. a disinfectant. A typical cooling effect when applied to soft drink bottles 0.33 litres is in accordance with the following table where the bottles were filled with tempered water, 30 g. of clay and silicate gel are spread out over the outside of the bottles. The temp. development in these bottles and an unprocessed control were followed.
