Abstract

A valve construction capable of being integrated in a radiator and intended for controlling the circulation of a heating medium of the radiator, which construction has a first pipe connection (10) for the flow of the heating medium into the radiator and from the radiator and a second pipe connection (20) which is connected to the first pipe connection and through which the flow flows into the pipe system of the radiator and flows out of it through the first pipe connection. The first pipe connection (10) has, between its inlet (11) and outlet (13), an opening (14a) which is to be opened and closed and permits diversion of the flow; and at least when this opening (14a) is opened, there is arranged in front of it a flow-directing piece (15) for controlling the diversion substantially with respect to the axial direction of an outlet opening (13a) of the pipe connection (10), whereas the flow-directing piece (15) is firmly clamped in its place by a clamping piece (16), the central opening (16a) of the clamping piece having a greater diameter than the flow channel (15a) of the flow-directing piece (15), and the coupling between the flow-directing piece (15) and the clamping piece (16) being such that there results in between an annular baffle gap which is realised by shaping mutually opposite surfaces of the flow-directing piece (15) and of the clamping piece (16) and which prevents a return flow into the pipe system of the radiator. <IMAGE>
