Abstract

The present invention refers to a method to load-relieve and insulate pipes (1) in soil (2) by setting out pressure equalizing material (3) on a pipe trench bottom (4) intended before laying down pipes thereon. A pressure equalizing pipe shell (3) which preferably consists of expanded polystyrene is thereby set out on said bottom (4) and which has a design that follows the exterior diameter of the pipe. The invention also refers to a device for this.
