Abstract

A respiratory protective device (1) comprises a hood (2) made of flexible material, a filter (3) secured to the front of the hood, connecting the inside and outside of the hood, an inner mask (4) connected to the filter (3) and extending inside the hood (2), and a set of strings (5) for pressing the inner mask gas-tight around the mouth and the nose of the wearer. The set of strings (5) is secured to part (6) of mask (4) extending inside hood (2) and arranged to run essentially entirely inside hood (2). The fitting of set (5) is made easier by keeping set (5) in its place close to the inner surface of hood (2) with the aid of a mounting and/or guiding links (7, 7') and the problem of tightening the set of strings (5) is solved by using elastic strings which differ from each other with respect to their elasticity. <IMAGE>
