Abstract
The rotating or linear motor comprises a stator (1), a movable body (2) and a number of drive components (3), which can move relatively to fastening points (4) in the stator, and where the movement is controlled via a controlled form alternating of an active material. The motor can alternatingly drive the movable body by gripping, moving, releasing and returning to its original position. The movable body is all the time frictionally locked by at least one pair of drive components. Each drive component comprises a bimorphous or multi-morphous structure of a piezoelectric material. The movable body is a shaft, cylinder or plate on the drive component contact surface. The fastening points (4) are flexibly suspended in the stator and locked frictionally against the stator during the drive modes.
