Abstract

At one end of the equipment are lopping blades (52, 54) and at the other end is a sawing unit for cutting the tree trunk during felling and possible cutting the felled trunk into lengths. Also incorporated is a feed unit which feeds the felled trunk through the equipment for lopping. The feed unit is movably located in the grip arms (18) and can move between a grip position in which it (48) pushes inside the grip arms into their grip area to locate against a tree trunk and feed it through the equipment and a rest position in which it is outside the grip area and does not prevent the grip arms being used for loading cut timber trunks.
