Abstract

A lottery ticket, particularly a bingo ticket, which is intended to be opened in order to check whether the ticket is a winning ticket or not, said ticket being sealed against opening prior to opening said ticket, wherein the ticket includes a bottom and a top paper sheet (1 and 2 respectively) which are joined along a first edge (3), wherein prior to opening the ticket, the remaining three edges (4, 5 and 6) of the sheets are held together by a tearable seal, wherein one or more game plans or numbers or the like are printed on that upper surface of the bottom sheet (1) which faces towards the upper sheet (2), and wherein that bottom side of the upper sheet (2) which faces towards the bottom sheet has printed thereon a vision disturbing pattern (20) which prevents the ticket being seen through. The invention is characterized in that the bottom sheet (1) is comprised of black paper (21) which has been coated with a layer of white ink (22, 23) of sufficient thickness to enable print to be applied to said paper; and in that said game plans or numbers or the like are printed with a water-soluble, water-based flexo-ink.
