Abstract

The stops (4) are either single or multiple and are driven synchronously with the cross transporter (1) along an endless track in a vertical plane. This track forms an angle with the cross transporter transport direction. The stops run forward of the pick-ups (3) on the cross transporter along an upper part of the track and are lowerable onto a suitable position along the track so that they can locate against the end surface of a timber piece (2) to produce longitudinal movement.
