Abstract

Hinged arrangement for a socket outlet box 1 designed to be installed in a floor in order to make possible the connection of leads 5 to terminals 6, 7 arranged inside the box for service leads of various kinds laid under the floor, which box comprises a preferably rectangular opening surrounded by a frame 2 designed to be fixed in the plane of the floor and provided with a lid, where the lid 3, which in a closed position rests on a ledge 8 arranged on the inside of the framework 2, is arranged by the abovementioned hinge arrangement to be able to be pivoted outwards around one side which acts as a turning axis into an open unstable position, in which position it must be held open so that it does not return to a closed position under the influence of gravity. The hinged arrangement comprises recesses 10 in the ledge of the framework close to and across the position of the turning axis, one long side of which consists of a vertical part of the frame wall and the other long side of which consists of an edge of a sprung rectangular catch 11 arranged in the ledge 8, the hinged arrangement also comprising curved arms 9 which are integrated with and attached to the lid 3 which engage with and move freely in the recesses and terminate next to the frame 2 in an end nib or stop nib 12 which engages with the wall of the frame 2 and prevents the lid 3 being pivoted past the abovementioned unstable position. This engagement with the wall of the frame can if required be inhibited by simultaneously pressing both the sprung catches 11 when opening the lid, whereupon the lid can be taken to a stable end position or can be removed. If the lid is removed, it can be refitted in the stable end position and when the lid is pivoted from the end position to the closed position it automatically reconnects the stop function controlled by the catches 11. <IMAGE>
