Abstract
A box socket terminal comprises a crimped wired termination (17) having ribs (12), and a socket contact. The contact includes a base (11) and sides, one of the sides being extended to form top (13) and further extended to form retaining lips (15, 16). The top (13) and bottom (11) extend to form contact surfaces (21, 22) folded inside the box; each contact surface may terminate with folds (21a, 21b, 22a, 22b). Protrusions (20) are formed in the outside of the box, so that the contact may be assembled into a connector body (not shown) in either one of two orientations without misaligning the contact surfaces (21, 22). <IMAGE>
