Abstract
A mobile filter unit for removing by suction from a working site (91, 93) air that is contaminated with gaseous and/or particulate contaminants, such as welding fumes or glue solvents for instance, comprising an apparatus housing having an inlet opening (2), a suction line (3) capable of being connected to the inlet opening, a filter (4), a fan (5), and a suction line (6) which extends between the filter and the inlet opening (2), wherein the filter unit is characterized in that the apparatus housing (1) has in its upper part space for accommodating a working table and a suction gap (16) which extends around the table perimeter, and in that means (10) are provided for connecting either the suction line (3) or the suction gap (16) to the filter (4), when the table is in position and exposed for use.
