Abstract

The present invention concerns a combined arrangement comprising known components for cleaning waste water. The arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that polluted water is introduced into the arrangement via an intake 1 and via a distribution plate 3 to a collection trough 2 which is conically designed to open down into a conveyor member 4 provided with drive members (not shown) where heavier material remains while lighter material is entrained in the flow of water and mixed with floating sand and adheres in a cleaning member 5, which is self-cleaning and designed with reverse function in continuous operation, whereupon the material passed through the cleaning member 5 is introduced into a trough 6 provided with a removable plate 7 and openable hatch 8, while the screened material from the cleaning member 5 is caused to fall, under its own weight, into the conveyor member 4 which is designed to transport heavier material and screenings to a press member 9 for dewatering of material and sand, after which the screenings are pressed through a delivery nozzle 10 and disposed of. <IMAGE>
