Abstract

The seat has an inner frame (5) which counteracts compression and internal deformation of the seat when lateral collision occurs, and a reversed shell-shaped protection (7) for the head of a child occupying the seat. The protection has an internal lining (31,33) of shock-absorbing material and is formed so that with lateral collision the child head is maintained inside the protection and prevented from rotating or pivoting out of the chair.
