Abstract

A device for packing products in a packing box comprises firstly a downwardly open packing member 3,4 having two essentially vertical, mutually spaced side pieces 3, between which a space is delimited for the accommodation of products, and secondly a flexible band 5, which can be tensioned between the side pieces 3 to form a bearing plane for support of the products inside the said space. The packing member 3,4 is displaceable between a first position outside the box, in which position the band 5 is tensioned between the side pieces 3 to form the said bearing plane for the products, and a second position, in which the packing member 3,4 is placed in the box and the products are deposited therein by that part of the band 5 which forms the said bearing plane being withdrawn in such a way that the packing member 3,4 is opened downwards. The device includes on this account a manoeuvring member 6-9, which is connected to the band 5 and which is arranged to convey to the said bearing-plane- forming part of the band 5 an essentially horizontally to- and-fro motion between its tensioned product-supporting position and its withdrawn product-delivery position. <IMAGE>
