Abstract

The invention relates to a highly resistant, non- magnetic, non-rusting steel alloy in which the contents of the constituent alloy elements are optimized such that the austenite phase remains stable without any conversion into martensite even in association with an advance degree of processing. The distinguishing feature is the analysis of the alloy, with 0.05-0.25% C, 0.1-1.5% Si, 3.5-7.5% Mn, 17-19% Cr, 6-10% Ni and 0.10-0.50% N, with the remainder being Fe and normally occurring impurities.
