Abstract

The fluid to be sampled contains fibres and similar particles, and a suction unit (1) aspirates sample fluid for delivery to a level vessel (11) provided with a flat bottom plate (12) with two apertures. One aperture leads to a sample volume (14), whilst the other leads to a delivery conduit (13) for sample fluid. - The aperture leading to the sample volume is positioned so that its lowest point is located above that leading to the delivery conduit. A pipe system (2,5,8,13,19) together with valves (4,6,7,15) and controls (9) ensure that a cleansing fluid is properly circulated throughout the complete system. The level vessel is fitted with a level indicator (10), and the suction unit consists of an ejector. A vent valve (7) is located in the pipe system at its highest point.
