A spout nozzle for casting metal comprises a metal nozzle tube with a ceramic sleeve (7) therein which defines the pouring cross-section of the nozzle. A heating element in the form of a resistance wire (10) is wound in cylindrical form and disposed between the sleeve (7) and the tube. <IMAGE>
