Abstract

The dialysis membrane filter is located inside a magnetising winding for electromagnetic field treatment. The blood (B in) is pre-treated in the filter in an electromagnetic field in the treatment appts. (1), and then further treated in a similar appts. (2). The incoming dialysis fluid (D in) is pre-treated in a similar appts. (3). The winding around the dialysis filter forms part of an electrical coil or capacitor system, functioning in 1 phase, 2 phase or multi-phase operation, and producing a rotating field with regular changes in direction of rotation. - A electrical current is fed through the filter itself by means of two electrodes, one on either side of it. The magnetising winding is fitted on laminated plate or on powder cores in order to strengthen the magnetic field produced.
