Abstract

An electrical motor comprising a stator 22 equipped with stator terminals 18a,b;19a,b interacting in pairs and provided with windings 23a,b;24a,b and a rotor 15 provided with rotor terminals 20,21 arranged in pairs diametrically opposite the stator terminals and interacting with these. At least one of the bodies 26,27 made of magnetically conductive material is so arranged as to rotate with the rotor 15 so that during the period of time when the rotor terminals pass an activated pair of stator terminals 18a,b they form a bridge between an activated stator terminal 18a,18b and a non-activated stator terminal 19a,19b in order to make a route for current to flow through the latter stator terminal in order to induce a voltage in its windings which can be used to generate a signal indicating the position of the rotor. <IMAGE>
